Jezebel was a notorious woman in the Old Testament commonly known for being a usurper. She killed many prophets and seemed to get by with whatever she did. Jezebel brings enormous discouragement because it seems as though these types get by with whatever they do, and God never judges them, but he will eventually judge them.
