In this article, we discuss the nature of Saul, who was completely given over to pride, envy, ambition, and hatred. He would destroy anyone in his own way, including his own son. This is the savagery of pride, ambition, and envy run-amuck.
Unjust gain is a serious sin and we are warned in scripture not to defraud others of their wages, property, or possessions. The enemy lies to people or tells them partial truths to gain consent; Christians must never use such callous deception to grow their or their employers wealth.
Jezebel was a notorious woman in the Old Testament commonly known for being a usurper. She killed many prophets and seemed to get by with whatever she did. Unfortunately, Elijah didn’t live to see the judgment that God would bring upon her. He ran from her and hid in a cave. Jezebel brings enormous discouragement because it seems as though these types get by with whatever they do, and God never judges them, but he will eventually judge them.
